Job summary

iwoca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Customer Operations Platform in London. You’ll own end-to-end projects, design solutions, and ship production-ready features to power our ops teams.

Collaborate with Operations, Credit, Accounts and Collections while applying AI to automate routines and improve reliability. The role offers hybrid work and a strong focus on learning and growth within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning shared backend services used by multiple teams.
• Proficient in React and TypeScript; browser debugging.
• Experience building distributed systems in complex domains.
• Ability to translate operational needs into architecture.
• Experience using AI tools to automate tasks.
• Uses AI daily to speed up development and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects spanning multiple systems and stakeholders.
• Understand business context and user needs in ops.
• Produce technical scoping and prototyping to validate ideas.
• Tackle complex coding and architecture with ambiguity.
• Write technical docs and tickets translating requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations Strategy, Credit Analysts, Account Managers, and Collections.
• Mentor junior developers and promote learning.
