Job summary

Intermedia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Backend to design and build backend services powering analytics, dashboards, and data visualizations. You will transform complex customer data into reliable, performant information for trends and decisions.

You will collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, data, product, and UX teams to deliver sophisticated insights and scalable data platforms, while embracing a fast-paced, primarily remote work culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend services.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and data modeling.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for analytics.
• Build data processing pipelines and services for interactive analytics experiences.
• Collaborate with frontend, data, and UX teams to enable intuitive visualization.
• Shape data models, caching, and performance optimizations for responsive apps.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and CI/CD across production services.
• Lead code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
