Job summary

CreateFuture in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer to join the client's platform team on AWS. You’ll drive reliability, scalability, and evolution of infrastructure in a mature stack, lead a small team, and translate platform priorities into a clear roadmap for delivery.

Ideal candidates will design AWS-based capabilities, handle incident management, and engage with business and technical stakeholders to align priorities with client needs. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AWS cloud engineering and platform design experience.
• Ability to work independently, navigate an unfamiliar estate and make sound technical judgments.
• Experience with federated identity and complex integrations.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.
• Experience working within regulated environments, including risk, assurance and design controls.
• Strong operational mindset, with experience owning incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident review processes
• Proven experience leading a platform or infrastructure engineering team, including mentoring, performance support, and day-to-day team management
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage confidently with technical and non-technical audiences, translate complexity into clear priorities, and manage competing demands

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable AWS platform capabilities, including federated identity.
• Assess the current platform and help prioritise the work needed through year-end.
• Work with the solution architect and technical BAs to turn requirements into implementable, auditable work.
• Help establish a foundation that can support wider use of the platform in 2027
