Job summary

CreateFuture in the UK seeks a hands-on Lead Engineer to own reliability, scalability and evolution of the AWS platform within a mature tech stack. You will influence across engineering teams, translate platform priorities into a clear roadmap, and drive delivery with credibility at both technical and business levels.

You will lead a platform-minded team, mentor engineers, manage incidents and design controls in regulated contexts, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impact for

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS cloud engineering and platform design experience.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical judgments.
• Experience with federated identity and complex integrations.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.
• Experience in regulated environments, including risk, assurance and design controls.
• Strong operational mindset with incident management, on-call frameworks, and post-incident reviews.
• Proven experience leading an infrastructure engineering team, including mentoring and day-to-day management.
• Strong stakeholder management to translate complexity into clear priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable AWS platform capabilities, including federated identity.
• Assess the current platform and prioritise work through year-end.
• Collaborate with solution architect and technical BAs to translate requirements into concrete work.
• Establish a foundation to enable wider platform use in 2027.
