Job summary

You will work across high-availability systems, collaborate with security specialists, and mentor engineers in design, testing and operational excellence.

You will drive testing, observability and modern delivery practices in a hybrid, collaborative environment, supporting business value and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using Java or JVM-based languages.
• Experience with cloud-native tech, AWS, serverless and containerised apps.
• Strong testing practices including automated testing and TDD.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile delivery methods.
• Knowledge of secure development and API security principles.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and full-stack approaches.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own services and major components ensuring quality, security, performance and reliability.
• Define and evolve testing strategies with automation and fast feedback loops across teams.
• Drive observability with monitoring, metrics, logging and alerts.
• Use engineering metrics to identify opportunities for improved delivery, reliability and quality outcomes.
• Champion secure engineering practices with security specialists to mitigate risk.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex incidents with root cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers to strengthen design, testing, security and operational excellence.
• Influence architecture and engineering standards to support long-term value.
