Job summary

Humanoid is hiring a Senior Autonomy Engineer focused on SLAM and Navigation to advance robust spatial reasoning for industrial humanoid robots. You will design state estimation and long-term mapping, integrating ML with geometry to sustain accurate, scalable navigation.

You will deploy on edge hardware and drive low-latency, reliable trajectories in real-world scenarios while collaborating with a world-class team in the UK.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in SLAM and multi-view geometry.
• Experience with long-term mapping in changing environments.
• Practical ML applied to geometric problems, incl. foundation geometry models.
• Ability to build scalable data pipelines or auto-labeling workflows.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for production-grade code.
• Edge deployment with robotics hardware constraints.
• Research-to-production mindset, translating CVPR/ICRA advances.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale robust SLAM pipelines for accurate localization across dynamic spaces.
• Integrate foundation geometry models and ML into the localization loop.
• Architect long-term mapping systems for updating maps across changing environments.
• Build auto-labeling data pipelines for high-fidelity ground truth.
• Bridge geometry with deep learning to produce globally consistent trajectories.
• Deploy and benchmark spatial AI on robot hardware with low latency.
• Translate cutting-edge spatial AI research into production roadmap.
