Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Senior/Staff Autonomy Engineer focused on Spatial Intelligence to bridge 3D geometry with next-generation AI. You will lead design and development of state estimation, mapping, and localisation loops, integrating large models into our core navigation stack for robust spatial awareness in real-world deployments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to push the embodied AI roadmap, evaluate new architectures, and deliver high-performance robot software on edge

Qualifications

• Shipping complex ML systems into production.
• Strong background in 3D scene understanding and efficient spatial data structures.
• Experience in vision or embodied AI with large models (VLMs/transformers).
• Proficient in PyTorch and deploying large-scale ML systems.
• High-impact individual contributor from research to production.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, research-driven environment with evolving models.

Responsibilities

• Architect spatial intelligence combining 3D geometry with semantic scene understanding for safe navigation.
• Develop long-term spatial memory and contextual awareness for robots.
• Own perception lifecycle by training multimodal networks and edge deployment.
• Implement 3D representations to track and interpret environment state.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge model training and robot integration.
• Evaluate new models and datasets to steer embodied AI roadmap.
