Humanoid is hiring a Senior Autonomy Engineer focused on SLAM and Navigation to advance the world’s most capable humanoid platform. You will lead robust state estimation, long-term mapping, and localisation loops, blending traditional geometry with modern machine learning to achieve reliable trajectories in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in classical SLAM and multi-view geometry.
• Experience with back-end map optimization and long-term mapping in changing environments.
• Practical experience applying ML to geometric problems.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience deploying navigation on physical robot hardware.
• Ability to translate cutting-edge spatial AI research into production.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale SLAM pipelines ensuring accurate localisation and state estimation.
• Integrate foundation geometry models and ML into localisation loops.
• Architect and maintain long-term mapping systems across changing environments.
• Build auto-labeling data pipelines for geometric datasets.
• Bridge classical geometry with deep learning for metric trajectory mapping.
• Deploy and benchmark spatial AI on robot hardware with low latency.
