Job summary

Humanoid is hiring a Senior/Staff Autonomy Engineer focused on Spatial Intelligence to join our team. You will bridge 3D geometry and AI, leading the design of state estimation, mapping, and localisation for robust navigation in real-world environments.

You will train multimodal networks, deploy ultra-low latency models on edge hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance embodied AI across our humanoid platform.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering track record shipping ML systems.
• Expertise in 3D scene understanding.
• Experience with large models (VLMs, transformers) and multimodal AI.

Responsibilities

• Architect the spatial intelligence layer for safe navigation and efficient locomotion in complex environments.
• Develop long-term persistent spatial memory and contextual awareness of surroundings.
• Own perception lifecycle by training multimodal networks and deploying them for ultra-low latency on edge hardware.
• Bridge the gap between research and reality by implementing 3D representations that track environment state.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect model training with reliable robot integration.
• Stay ahead by evaluating new model architectures, benchmarks, and datasets to guide the embodied AI roadmap.
