Job summary

Actemium Automation Peterborough is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale automation and electrical engineering projects. You will own the full lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery on time and within budget, while building strong client and internal stakeholder relationships.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the Business Unit's strategy, drive growth and operational excellence, mentor junior staff, and contribute to cross-site initiatives

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing engineering, automation, or control systems projects.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organise, and motivate teams to deliver automation and control projects to client specifications and deadlines.
• Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and changes to ensure successful outcomes.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication.
• Prepare and present regular project progress reports and facilitate multidisciplinary meetings.
• Drive project quality through compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Support development of junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team, shaping long-term business strategy.
