Job summary

adi Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our automation team in Wirral. You will lead automation and control system projects from client brief through delivery and handover, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

This hands-on role requires strong client relationship skills, travel across the North, and a proactive approach to risk, scope, and change control, with a focus on NEC and JCT contracts and high engineering

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automation, control systems or industrial engineering projects.
• Experience delivering projects from client brief to completion.
• Strong project planning, organisation and commercial awareness.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, risks and scope.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage automation and control systems projects from concept to completion.
• Serve as main client contact and manage expectations.
• Coordinate forms of contract including NEC and JCT.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and delivery plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, software, electrical and commissioning teams.
• Manage project scope, risks, variations, costs and change control.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet client requirements and standards.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and support quotations and reporting.
• Coordinate FAT, installation, commissioning and handover.
