Job summary

Actemium Automation Nottingham, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead industrial automation projects for a key Slough-based client. Based in Ilkeston with regular travel to client sites, you will manage end-to-end delivery across multiple projects, ensuring safety, quality and profitability.

You will work with cross-functional teams, shape project governance and build strong client relationships, while contributing to the Business Unit’s strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale industrial automation, process control or electrical control system projects.
• Strong commercial awareness including budget management, forecasting and change management.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of PLC, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with project planning, governance, risk management and quality processes.
• Strong leadership with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Engineering or project management qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Slough and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of automation and control projects across the Slough account.
• Act as the principal project management interface for the client, building strong relationships.
• Support the Client Account Manager in delivering objectives and opportunities for growth.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including engineering, design, procurement, commissioning and subcontractors.
• Drive governance including planning, forecasting, reporting, risk and change control.
• Manage budgets, cost control, invoicing, forecasting and commercial claims.
• Ensure contractual compliance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Promote health, safety and environmental performance.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT and commissioning through to handover.
