Job summary

Aldershot MOT Centre Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Aldershot. You will perform MOT inspections, diagnose faults in vehicles, and carry out servicing to a high standard while guiding junior techs and keeping documentation up to date.

You will engage with customers to explain issues and recommended repairs, ensuring work complies with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification.
• MOT tester certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT-related inspections and servicing to high standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on cars and vans.
• Lead by example and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain workshop organisation and accurate job documentation.
• Interact professionally with customers to explain findings and options.
