Job summary

Premium Independent Specialist in Ashford, UK, is seeking a Senior Technician to lead hands-on diagnostics and major mechanical work in a RAC Approved workshop.

You will tackle complex auto-electrical faults, perform timing belts, engine overhauls, and collaborate with service advisors. NVQ3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, 5+ years in a busy workshop, full UK driving licence, and MOT tester licence a bonus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in a busy workshop with solid diagnostic and electrical fault-finding confidence.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• An active MOT Tester Licence is a huge plus (but not a dealbreaker!).

Responsibilities

• Deep Diagnostics: Tackling complex auto-electrical fault finding and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Major Mechanical Work: Getting hands-on with timing belts/chains, engine overhauls, gearboxes, and heavy repairs.
• Servicing & Maintenance: Routine servicing and safety checks across a wide variety of exciting makes and models.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with our service advisors to keep customers informed and happy.
• Quality Standards: Maintaining accurate digital records to high RAC standards.
