Job summary

Autism Initiatives in Belfast seeks Support Workers to join our team, helping autistic people develop independence in daily living, education and leisure activities. You will work with service users in various settings, with induction and on-the-job learning, supported by a buddy and regular reviews.

Minimum six months experience supporting people with autism or learning disabilities is required, along with GCSE English/Maths at grade C and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience (paid or voluntary) supporting people with Autism or Learning disabilities.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible to work on a rota including weekends and unsocial hours.

Responsibilities

• Support people with autism or learning disabilities in daily living, independence, education and leisure activities.
• Assist service users to access work, education and leisure opportunities.
• Participate in induction, buddying, regular reviews, and on-the-job learning.
