Job summary

AEP Global is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (33kV SAP) to support major mission-critical projects across Europe. The role involves leading SAP activities, coordinating contractors and ensuring safe energisation, isolation and earthing practices across HV equipment.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong client-facing and safety leadership skills, with proven SAP authorisation up to 33kV and extensive HV switching experience, working within a Europe/UK context.

Qualifications

• Previous SAP authorisation up to 33kV.
• Strong HV switching, isolation, earthing and energisation experience.
• SSoW and Permit-to-Work experience.
• Strong knowledge of HV Electrical Safety Rules.
• Experience with HV switchgear, transformers and RMUs.
• Confident leading APs and coordinating contractors.
• Strong client-facing and safety leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP activities across projects and sites in Europe/UK.
• Coordinate contractors and supervise authorised persons.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Promote HV safety practices and incident prevention across missions.
• Interface with clients and project teams to deliver safe energisation schemes.

What we're looking for:

• Previous Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation up to 33kV
• Strong HV switching, isolation, earthing & energisation experience
• Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) & Permit-to-Work experience
• Strong knowledge of HV Electrical Safety Rules
• Experience with HV switchgear, transformers & RMUs
