Job summary

Sphere Solutions Ltd in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person to join our High Voltage team. You will be responsible for the safe delivery and operation of HV systems and connections up to 33kV on major construction and energy projects, including EV infrastructure and solar farm connections.

The role requires proven SAP/Authorised Person experience, a minimum of 3 years on large sites, and strong knowledge of HV switching, safety and electrical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as SAP for HV systems up to 33kV.
• Plan, control and oversee HV switching, isolation, earthing and energisation.
• Prepare and approve switching schedules, RAMS and HV safety documentation.
• Issue and manage relevant HV safety permits and operational documents.
• Provide technical leadership to HV engineers and subcontractors.
• Oversee HV installation, testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, clients and principal contractors.
• Ensure works comply with company procedures, NERS requirements and Health & Safety legislation.
• Support HV audits, inspections and technical problem-solving.

Salary: £67,000 – £70,000 per annum, plus discretionary annual bonus

Location: Devon/ Cornwall or Chesterfield / Sheffield / Doncaster

Type: Full-Time

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our growing High Voltage team, responsible for the safe delivery and operation of HV systems and connections up to 33kV.

The role will involve working on major construction and energy projects, with a particular focus on HV connections, EV infrastructure, and Solar Farms.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as SAP for HV systems up to 33kV.
• Plan, control and oversee HV switching, isolation, earthing and energisation.
• Prepare and approve switching schedules, RAMS and HV safety documentation.
