400kV Senior Authorised Person - Offshore wind - Onshore/Offshore substation - 2/2 rotation - All inclusive day rate, outside IR35 - May start date - 12 month (potentially up to 24 months)

Hunter Philips are partnered with a leading renewables company who are responsible for the Safety from the System on an offshore wind farm in construction in the UK. We are looking for a seasoned 400kV SAP to work on either the onshore or offshore substation. You must have a solid understanding of HV Safety from the system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, writing and issuing switching schedules
• Preparing, issuing and cancelling safety documents and permits
• Switching on the 400kV network
• Acting as an interface with other 3rd parties
• Train up the junior SAPs, APs and CPs
• Liaising with the Control Room
• Reviewing the method statements
• Acting as Control Engineer as and when required
• Ensuring Safety from the System

Requirements:

• Completed a previous offshore wind farm
• Minimum 1 year as a 400kV SAP (preferably on a wind farm)
• Experience commissioning
• Basic protection testing is desired but not essential
• Full clean driving license
• DNO/National Grid experience is desired but not essential
• Willingness to participate in a standby Rota
