Senior Authorised Person - HV/LV

Are you a Senior Authorised Person looking for a new challenge where you can significantly develop your skillset in the renewable energy sector while making an impact on major energy projects such as green hydrogen and floating offshore wind?

This organisation focuses on ocean energy development, green hydrogen, floating offshore wind, and other clean energy systems. They have achieved significant progress in their research projects and plan to continue in this direction.

In this role, you will oversee testing processes for wave and tidal energy devices, review designs, ensure proper grid connection, and evaluate power output. You will also manage testing facilities and equipment, including high voltage connections and measurement systems. Training can be provided if you do not have AP or SAP status. Relocation to Orkney, Scotland, is required.

The ideal candidate will have LV or HV experience and hold AP or SAP status. They seek a role with high responsibility, allowing personal development and contribution to team and organizational growth.

The role:
  • Providing testing services for wave and tidal devices, including participating in design reviews.
  • Working with clients to solve electrical or technical problems and providing performance data and reports to support device design and operation.
  • Implementing equipment and system maintenance plans within budgets.
  • Managing electrical systems in collaboration with Electrical Engineers and Contractors.
The Person:
  • HV/LV electrical experience
  • AP or SAP status
  • HNC/HND or Degree in a technical or electrical/electronic discipline
  • Willing to relocate to Orkney
