Sheridan Maine London is recruiting an Audit Senior to lead audits for a diverse client portfolio across property, technology, professional services, hospitality and owner‑managed businesses. Based in Central London, you will manage planning, fieldwork, and the delivery of high‑quality financial statements.

The successful candidate will have ACA or ACCA (or nearing qualification), solid UK audit experience, strong client communication and leadership skills, and the ability to oversee junior

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or in final stages of qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit and accounts preparation experience.
• Experience managing audits from planning through to completion.
• Sound knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio.
• Manage audit fieldwork on-site and remotely, ensuring high-quality work within deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Supervise and review junior staff work to ensure accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients as a trusted point of contact.
• Liaise with managers and partners to deliver within budgets and deadlines.
• Assist with management reports and audit documentation.
