Job summary

Curtis Recruitment is seeking an Audit Senior for a well-established accountancy practice at its Banbury office. The ideal candidate will be recently qualified ACA or ACCA and have considerable audit experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.

The role involves supervising junior colleagues and taking responsibility for delivering audits for complex clients, with opportunities for career progression and a flexible working environment.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified within the UK.
• Extensive audit experience in a UK accountancy firm.
• Willingness to supervise and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Taking full responsibility for the delivery of audits for complex clients.
• Planning and scoping audit assignments effectively, including allocating resources, setting deadlines and establishing clear and appropriate terms of reference.
• Managing and undertaking audit assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Identifying key risks to business objectives, evaluating and testing internal controls, and making practical recommendations for improvement.
• Liaising with Directors and clients throughout the planning and delivery of audits.
• Preparing clear, accurate and high-quality audit reports for presentation to Directors and clients.
• Managing systems development and advisory assignments, undertaking more complex areas of work and advising Directors on issues with significant risk or control implications.
• Liaising directly with clients to provide financial information, guidance and advice.
• Supporting Directors with client management and assisting in the development and supervision of junior team members.
