Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with strong audit and accounts experience to join a fast-growing UK practice in Banbury. You will work on audit assignments, support management in the corporate department, and handle tax/compliance tasks with minimal supervision.

The role involves supervision of junior staff, client liaison, and using Xero/cloud accounting tools to deliver high-quality service across diverse sectors. Flexible working is available.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or part-qualified) is expected.
• Proven accounts experience within a practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporation tax, VAT and related taxes.
• Experience with accounting systems, notably Xero.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts preparation and client reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete and supervise audit assignments on client sites or remotely.
• Support partners and managers in the corporate department.
• Review and prepare client accounts, tax and VAT work.
• Assist with higher-level audit, accounts and taxation work.
• Ensure timely submission of paperwork to clients and HMRC.
