Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Solid, demonstrable experience in external audit within a practice environment.
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Word; CaseWare experience is a plus.
• Strong, up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting standards and recent developments.
• Clear and effective communicator, both in writing and in person, across a range of client and colleague interactions.
• Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset.
• A collaborative team player with good problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality audit work across a range of assignments, from planning through to completion, with varying degrees of complexity.
• Identifying and addressing key risks throughout the audit process, drawing on specialist knowledge and internal networks where appropriate.
• Building strong, trusted relationships with clients, gaining a clear understanding of their business objectives and providing practical, tailored advice.
• Proactively contributing to continuous improvement, researching best practice and using technology to enhance the quality and efficiency of client service.
• Supporting the development of junior team members by identifying training opportunities, providing guidance, and sharing knowledge where needed.
