Sheridan Maine is recruiting on behalf of an established accountancy practice in Hertfordshire for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors, oversee audits from planning to completion, and review statutory accounts ensuring compliance with standards.

You will develop client relationships, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to process improvements.

Formación

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice (minimum of 2 years).
• Proven experience managing audit assignments and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience managing client relationships and overseeing a portfolio of clients.
• The ability to supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Overseeing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Reviewing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical accounting and financial advice.
• Managing assignment deadlines, budgets and workflow to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance and support.
• Liaising with Partners and senior colleagues on technical matters and client requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and strengthen client relationships.
• Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of internal processes.
