Sheridan Maine London is working with a well-established accountancy practice in Maidstone to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. You will join a reputable firm, taking ownership of accounts preparation, tax and advisory work for a varied client portfolio.

The role involves preparing statutory accounts, handling corporation and personal tax, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP.

Qualificações

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or QBE with strong practice experience.
• Experience in UK accountancy practice environments.
• Strong accounts preparation and tax compliance experience.
• Confident managing a client portfolio and mentoring junior staff.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and self-assessment tax compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Complete corporation tax returns and personal tax computations.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key contact.
• Review and support junior staff with bookkeeping and accounts work.
• Assist with VAT returns, management accounts and compliance.
• Liaise with clients to provide proactive accounting and advisory support.
• Ensure work is completed in line with UK GAAP and tax regulations.
