Sheridan Maine is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager for a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice in Leatherhead, Surrey. The role oversees audits, accounts and advisory work across diverse clients, from planning to completion, with emphasis on delivering high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will have UK practice experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage a portfolio while developing junior staff and nurturing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong audit and accounts experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive, commercially aware client service approach.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and be the key contact.
• Plan and oversee audit assignments to high standards.
• Review statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Prepare and review accounts for a range of businesses.
• Provide clients with practical accounting and business advice.
• Review corporation tax computations and returns.
• Supervise and develop junior team members.
