Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Band 7 audiology leader to head the adult service. The role combines advanced diagnostic work and hearing aid fitting with team leadership, and a vestibular emphasis, including support for NF2 clinics and service development toward IQIPS accreditation.

You will supervise audiologists and clinical scientists, contribute to MDT clinics, and work across clinics county-wide.

Qualifications

• NHS experience at Band 6 or above in diagnostic adult audiology.
• Experience training other staff at same or higher grade.
• Managing hearing loss in adults with complex needs.
• Significant audiovestibular assessment expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide adult audiology services for hearing loss, balance and tinnitus.
• Carry out routine and advanced diagnostic assessments.
• Fit and verify hearing aids, including non-routine devices.
• Contribute to Balance MDT clinics and neuro-otology/NF2 clinics.
• Lead operational management of the service and supervise staff.
• Lead service development with senior colleagues.
• Collaborate with ENT, neurology and geriatrics teams.
• Work across clinics county-wide as needed.
