Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Vestibular and Paediatric Audiologist to work across Manchester Foundation Trust sites, including Manchester Royal Infirmary, Withington Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. The role combines vestibular and paediatric audiology with opportunities to engage in balance service activities and paediatric services.

Qualifications

• M level postgraduate training in vestibular assessment/rehabilitation or STP training.
• Experience in paediatric audiology is desirable.
• Interest in balance assessment and rehabilitation for all ages.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complete patient journeys from initial assessment to discharge in the balance service.
• Perform and interpret balance tests (VNG, calorics, vHIT, SVINT) including specialist equipment.
• Write patient reports and provide management recommendations.
• Counsel patients on vestibular rehabilitation and formulate individual plans.
• Refer patients for diagnostic MRI as required and attend Balance MDT meetings.
• Provide paediatric hearing assessment and rehabilitation, including behavioural testing.
