Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for two Band 7 Advanced Paediatric Audiologists / Team Leaders to shape paediatric audiology in Oxfordshire. You will combine advanced clinical work with leadership, service development and staff supervision, reporting to the Head of Paediatric Audiology.

The post is based at John Radcliffe Hospital with clinics in Banbury and other sites; flexible working options are available and appointments can be full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist (audiology) or AHCS-registered Audiologist with significant NHS paediatric audiology experience.
• Excellent clinical skills and a passion for developing services and supporting others.
• Leadership, service development and staff supervision experience in an NHS paediatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialised paediatric audiology services including complex behavioural and objective assessments, hearing aid fitting, verification and rehabilitation.
• Lead, supervise and develop colleagues through coaching and mentorship; allocate leadership time for service development.
• Line-manage a team of Audiologists and Assistant Audiologists to ensure high-quality clinical service.
