Chadwick Nott is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Private Client team in Cardiff. You will handle high-net-worth matters, advise on wills, trusts and estate planning, and support junior colleagues while contributing to the growth of the Cardiff office.

Senior Associate - Private Client - Cardiff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation across England and Wales. Recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers rankings, this award-winning Top 50 UK firm is known for its exceptional private client offering and ambitious growth plans.

Joining the Cardiff office as a Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in the continued expansion of the private client team whilst managing a high-quality and varied caseload.

You’ll advise a broad range of clients including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, trustees and multi-generational families on matters such as:

• Wills and estate planning
• Trust creation and administration
• Probate and estate administration
• Inheritance tax and succession planning
• Wealth preservation and lifetime gifting

This is a genuinely varied role offering excellent quality work, significant client contact and the opportunity to become a visible figure within the Cardiff private client market. You'll also support the development of junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives across the region.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with circa 5+ years' PQE in Private Client matters
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private client work
• Experience managing complex matters independently
• Ability to supervise, mentor and support junior colleagues
• Commercially minded with strong relationship-building skills
• Enthusiastic about networking and business development
• Existing Cardiff or South Wales market connections would be advantageous
• STEP qualified, or working towards accreditation, would be highly desirable
