Senior Associate - Private Client - Cardiff - 5+ Years PQE

Location: Cardiff

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £50,000 to £70,000

A well established Top 50 law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Senior Associate to join its highly regarded and expanding Private Client team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role within a collaborative, high performing environment offering strong leadership support, quality work and clear progression.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing a varied and complex caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Trusts and trust administration
• Probate and estate administration
• Tax and succession planning
• Long term strategic planning for HNW and UHNW clients
• Supporting families across multiple generations
• Building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional client service
• Mentoring and supervising junior colleagues
• Contributing to business development and strengthening the firm's profile across the Cardiff market

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or CILEX lawyer with:

• At least 5 years' PQE in private client work
• Strong technical expertise and confidence managing complex matters independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, commercially minded approach
• Experience mentoring junior team members
• Knowledge of the Cardiff market and an existing professional network (advantageous)
• STEP qualification or working towards this (preferred)
• High attention to detail, organisation and a growth mindset
