Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting a Senior Private Client Associate in Bournemouth. You will handle a high-quality private client caseload, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning, while developing client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years PQE in private client work, with strong technical knowledge and a commercial mindset. The role offers a supportive, collaborative culture and hybrid working options.

Private Client Senior Associate - Bournemouth

A well-established, Legal 500-recognised regional law firm with a strong reputation across Dorset and the South Coast is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its successful and growing Private Client team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer seeking a senior position with high-quality work, genuine progression opportunities and the ability to build long-term client relationships within a respected private client practice.

You’ll manage a varied and rewarding caseload, advising individuals and families on a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts and wealth preservation
• Tax and lifetime planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection matters

You’ll also play an active role in developing client relationships, supporting junior colleagues where appropriate and contributing to the continued success and growth of the department.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Ideally 8+ years' PQE within Private Client.
• Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning matters.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client care and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development and networking.
• STEP qualification or accreditation would be beneficial but is not essential.
