Job summary

Connect Legal Partners in London is seeking an experienced construction attorney to run your own files within a busy team advising developers, funders, contractors, local authorities and housing associations on transactional construction matters.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, development agreements and security documents, provide procurement and tendering advice, and mentor junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years PQE in non-contentious construction in UK private practice.
• 2:1 degree is required.
• Detailed knowledge of JCT; NEC and FIDIC preferred; understanding UK procurement routes.

Responsibilities

• Run your own files in a construction team for developers, funders, contractors, local authorities and housing associations.
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, development agreements and security documents.
• Advise on procurement and tendering processes.

The role

You will run your own files in a construction team acting for developers, funders, contractors, local authorities and housing associations. You will draft and negotiate construction contracts, development agreements and security documents, advise on procurement and tendering, and mentor junior lawyers.

What you will need

At least 4 years PQE in non contentious construction in UK private practice and a 2:1 degree. You will need detailed JCT knowledge, ideally with NEC and FIDIC, and a good grasp of UK procurement routes.
