Job summary

Lunaria Partners is seeking a Senior Associate in non-contentious construction to join a leading projects, development and construction team in the City of London. The role focuses on complex development, regeneration and infrastructure work across the UK.

You will draft and negotiate a wide range of construction documentation, work with partners and senior lawyers, and manage your own matters and client relationships in a high-value, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for standard form and bespoke contracts.
• Excellent client-facing skills and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of construction and engineering documents (contracts, appointments, warranties, development agreements).
• Advising on development, infrastructure and regeneration projects within large multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain and nurture client relationships while delivering high-quality, value-driven legal work.

The Role

You will focus on non-contentious construction, working across major development and regeneration projects. The role will involve drafting and negotiating a broad range of construction and engineering documentation, likely including:

• Building contracts
• Professional appointments
• Collateral warranties
• Development agreements
• Procurement documentation
• Construction security and ancillary documents

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers while also taking responsibility for your own matters and client relationships. The work is varied, high-value and often part of large-scale, multi-disciplinary teams.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least 5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction
• Be confident drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke contracts
• Possess strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
• Enjoy collaborating on major development, infrastructure and real estate projects
