Job summary

Hollis is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Newcastle team, with opportunities for Associate or Senior Associate/AD level. The role focuses on strengthening Hollis' North East presence, winning new business and guiding the development of the Newcastle office.

You will work closely with the Director, lead a broad range of Building Surveying services, mentor junior staff and manage key client relationships. The position offers hybrid working in a growing regional practice.

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor with MRICS accreditation and broad experience in building surveyor roles.
• Strong commercial awareness with appetite for business development and client growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of leading teams.
• Experience mentoring junior surveyors and developing talent within a regional office.

Responsibilities

• Support growth and strengthen Hollis' Newcastle presence in the North East.
• Act as deputy to the office lead, developing the regional Building Surveying team.
• Lead and deliver professional and project-based Building Surveying services, including due diligence and contract administration.
• Take ownership of key client relationships and identify opportunities to expand commissions.
• Assist in winning work through networking, proposals, and client pitches.
• Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and support succession planning and team development.
• Ensure projects are delivered to high technical standards, on time and within budget.
