Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to join its Exeter office. You will work on a varied portfolio, deliver professional and project surveys, and lead client relationships with the support of an established multidisciplinary group.

Ideal candidates will hold a Building Surveying degree with MRICS status or progress towards Chartership, and bring broad survey experience. The role offers growth, visibility, and career progression within a growing regional team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline required.
• MRICS status ideally, or strong progress towards Chartership.
• Broad Building Surveying experience across professional and/or project work.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and client relationships.
• Interest in being part of a growing regional team and contributing to its future success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of professional and project Building Surveying services.
• Undertake building surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis.
• Prepare specifications and oversee refurbishment, repair and improvement projects.
• Provide contract administration and project delivery services.
• Advise clients on dilapidations, party wall matters and other professional instructions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and help grow the Building Surveying offering across the South West.
• Mentor and support more junior team members.
• Take on increasing responsibility as Exeter operation expands.
