Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Building Surveyor for Exeter. The role offers hybrid working, a salary up to £45,000, and a 37-hour week. You’ll lead survey projects, advise clients, prepare specs, manage contracts, and contribute to conservation projects while operating across office, site and client environments.

Qualifications

• Professional RICS membership (or working towards chartership).
• Strong experience across new build and refurbishment projects.
• Solid understanding of Building Regulations and surveying legislation.
• Confident stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a wider technical team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver building surveying projects in line with RICS standards.
• Provide expert technical advice to clients and colleagues.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, tenders and risk assessments.
• Manage contracts, monitor sites and ensure quality throughout.
• Carry out condition surveys, dilapidations, defect analysis and technical reporting.
• Contribute to conservation projects and innovative repair solutions.
