The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Aseptic Services Technician to lead the aseptic production in cleanrooms and supervise technical staff while upholding GMP quality and safety standards.

You will train staff, manage workload and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient production of aseptically prepared medicines for cancer patients. Registration with GPhC or Science Council is essential; on-call and weekend duties apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• GPhC/Science Council registration required.
• Experience in aseptic environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise technical staff and HR duties (PDRs, appraisals).
• Oversee aseptic production in cleanrooms with negative-pressure isolators.
• Organise safe, efficient production of aseptically prepared medicines.
• Deliver GMP training and support validations and competency checks.
• Coordinate workflow and workforce for a safe service to the trust and patients.
• Support Highly Specialised Technicians with workload planning.
• Revise SOPs and implement new procedures.
• Manage stock receipt, rotation, checks and cold storage monitoring.
• Control consumables and sanitisation supplies costs.
• Participate in audits and investigations; support production events.
• Take part in on-call, weekend and bank holiday rota for chemotherapy preparation.
