Job summary

Kier in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our multi-disciplinary Design team, delivering high-quality design across a range of sectors. You will lead on projects, mentor junior team members and play a key role in BIM-led delivery.

This role requires a qualified Architectural Technologist with strong REVIT/BIM skills, UK regulations knowledge, and experience coordinating design information across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Qualified Architectural Technologist (MCIAT/ACIAT) or equivalent (HNC/Degree).
• Strong REVIT and BIM delivery.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring others.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
• Experience across education, MOD/MOJ, or blue light sectors.
• Interest in sustainable and low-carbon design.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support and contribute to planning and statutory applications.
• Identify required site surveys, ensuring delivery and integration into designs.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings using CAD / REVIT.
• Lead on design coordination and development across projects.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders for approvals.
• Contribute to design risk assessments and Principal Designer duties.
• Carry out site visits and contract administration.
• Support bids, tenders, and wider business development activity.
• Mentor and manage junior team members.
• Deliver projects across the North West and wider UK.

We're looking for an Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Architectural team based in Liverpool.

Location: Liverpool
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Salary: Starting form £40,000 per annum

What will you be responsible for?

As an Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll support the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:
