Job summary

Kier Design in Liverpool is seeking an Architectural Technician to join the Architectural and Building Solutions team based in Liverpool. The role focuses on delivering high-quality drawings and coordinated design solutions using REVIT while supporting project delivery and mentoring junior team members.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility on hours. Starting salary is £30,000 per annum, and you will contribute to projects across education, MOD/MOJ, and blue light sectors

Qualifications

• Extensive architectural / technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations and industry standards.
• Experience using REVIT, BIM and Autodesk products.
• Familiarity with NBS Create and contract administration (NEC / JCT)
• Ability to coordinate design and work to deadlines.
• Experience in BIM coordination.
• Experience in sectors such as DfE, MOD, sustainability or conservation.

Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality concept and detailed drawings using CAD / REVIT.
• Coordinating design information across multidisciplinary teams.
• Supporting planning submissions and statutory approvals.
• Advising on environmental, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to design risk assessments and project delivery.
• Administering contracts (NEC / JCT) and undertaking site visits.
• Supporting bids and work-winning activity.
• Managing and mentoring junior team members.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Architectural Technician, you'll support the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:
