Penguin Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technician based in Oxfordshire. Join a RIBA-chartered practice to focus on building conservation, sustainability and historic buildings, delivering projects from concept to completion.

You will contribute technical expertise, lead on complex drawings and documentation, and support a small team while managing programmes and budgets. A full UK driving licence and ability to commute within Oxfordshire are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant UK-based experience as Architectural Technician, ideally at a senior level.
• Passion for historic buildings, building conservation and sustainable design.
• Strong knowledge of historic building conservation, maintenance and repair.
• Experience producing detailed technical drawings and construction information using AutoCAD.
• Strong project, programme and budget management skills.
• Experience in contract administration and an understanding of construction contracts.
• Experience managing or supporting a small team and contributing to their development.
• Full, clean driving licence, access to a car and ability to commute within Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects through all stages, from initial concept to completion.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings, detailed design information and construction packages.
• Work on conservation, maintenance, repair and sensitive adaptation of historic buildings.
• Apply creative, practical and sustainable technical solutions to a range of projects.
• Manage project programmes and budgets to support successful delivery.
• Assist with contract administration duties and support projects during construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard while respecting historic significance.
• Take on a senior role within the practice and support colleagues.
