Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Architect in Oxfordshire with a passion for building conservation to join a friendly, RIBA-chartered practice. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, focusing on sustainability and historic buildings.

Ideal candidates will be ARB registered with UK post-Part 3 experience, live in Oxfordshire, manage a small team, handle budgets, and produce high-quality AutoCAD drawings while respecting historic fabric.

Qualifications

• ARB registration required.
• UK post-Part 3 experience.
• Live in Oxfordshire region.
• Passion for building conservation.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Strong project and budget management skills.
• Experience in contract management.
• Knowledge of historic building conservation.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects through all stages, from concept to completion.
• Manage project budgets and programmes.
• Assist with contract administration duties.
• Work on the conservation, maintenance and repair of historic buildings.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Apply creative and sustainable design solutions to a range of projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard while respecting the historic significance of buildings.
