Job summary

Airey Miller, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Senior Architect / Associate Architect to lead design and technical delivery across residential refurbishment, façade remediation, fire safety and development projects.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, foster client relationships, and contribute to business growth. The role offers progression toward Associate Director and opportunities to lead strategic client management, bid management, and team development within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect with significant post-Part 3 experience.
• Proven experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages.
• Strong design, technical and construction knowledge.
• Experience in refurbishment, façade remediation, fire safety or Building Safety Act-related projects.
• Confident managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants and client relationships.
• Commercially aware, with an understanding of project finances, resource planning and risk management.
• Proactive and organised, with strong communication skills and a commitment to technical excellence and developing others.
• It is desirable but not essential that you have contract administration and construction stage delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver architectural projects across RIBA Stages 1–4, ensuring high-quality design and technical information.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and stakeholders to support efficient project delivery.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to repeat business and new commissions.
• Lead project meetings, design reviews and technical discussions, managing risks and resolving issues.
• Prepare and review planning applications, statutory approvals, tender packages and construction information.
• Monitor project programmes, resources, fees and budgets to support commercial performance.
• Support business development, bid submissions and the mentoring of junior team members.
