Job summary

Airey Miller, part of the Celnor Group, seeks a Senior Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering services for new and existing buildings, focusing on FRAEWs and PAS 9980 compliance.

You will report to the Technical Director-Fire Engineering, manage commissions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical, evidence-based fire safety solutions for clients including authorities and developers.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' post-qualification experience in fire engineering.
• Experience delivering FRAEWs in accordance with PAS 9980.
• Experience in fire strategies, existing building assessments, compartmentation and fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) per PAS 9980 with evidence-based conclusions.
• Develop fire strategies for new developments, refurbishments and changes of use.
• Assess existing buildings, identify fire safety deficiencies and advise remediation solutions.
• Manage projects from scope and proposals to delivery within budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, designers and multidisciplinary teams.
