Airey Miller, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering for new and existing buildings, with a focus on FRAEWs under PAS 9980, fire strategies and remediation advice.

Reporting to the Technical Director–Fire Engineering, you will manage commissions, mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the fire team, working with clients across public and private sectors.

Qualificações

• 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in fire engineering.
• Experience delivering FRAEWs under PAS 9980.
• Strong fire strategies and existing building assessments.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Safety Act framework.
• Degree or equivalent technical qualifications, with substantial fire exp.
• Excellent report writing and client management skills.
• IFE membership or progress toward chartered status desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) per PAS 9980 with evidence-based conclusions.
• Develop fire strategies for new developments and refurbishments.
• Assess existing buildings for fire safety deficiencies and remediation advice.
• Manage projects from scope and proposals through delivery within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and design teams including façade specialists.
• Support Building Safety Regulator submissions and fire safety compliance for high‑risk buildings.
• Undertake site inspections and document risks and recommendations clearly.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
