Job summary

Synergy Architects is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to strengthen our friendly Warwickshire-based team. You will lead the design and delivery of medium-to-large commercial projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with UK Building Regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least ten years’ experience in UK practice, ARB registration, and strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Synergy Architects have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Senior Architect to strengthen our friendly team.

We are seeking candidates with experience working on medium-to-large scale commercial projects who can lead the design and delivery of projects from concept to completion. Applicants must have excellent design, technical and communication skills and at least ten years’ experience working in UK architectural practice. Proficiency in Vectorworks would be beneficial but is not essential.

The position offers career advancement opportunities for the right candidate and would suit applicants with the skills and ambition to progress into a senior management role.

The position will be full-time, permanent, and predominantly studio-based in Warwickshire.

• ARB-registered, fully qualified architect. Chartered RIBA membership also preferred, but not essential.
• At least ten years’ experience working in UK architectural practice (minimum five years’ post-qualification).
• Experience working on medium-to-large scale commercial projects, preferably within the hospitality and/or education sectors.
• Demonstrable experience leading and delivering projects across all RIBA work stages.
• Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction technology, and principles of sustainability.
• Excellent CAD skills are essential, with proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.
• BIM modelling and 3D visualisation skills would also be beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong client-facing abilities, with experience building and maintaining effective client and project-team relationships.
• Proven experience of running projects on site, including contract administration, would be highly advantageous.
• Principal designer experience would be welcomed.
