Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is recruiting for an Architect to join their Birmingham team on a hybrid basis. A respected multi-disciplinary practice with national reach, they deliver education, healthcare and commercial projects, often employing Revit in delivery.

As part of a growing team, you will lead design development, coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and prepare statutory submissions within a supportive, award-winning environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading production packages on large-scale projects.
• ARB registration and UK design knowledge are essential.
• Good understanding of Building Regulations and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take receipt of a brief and develop it into a design in line with the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Achieve efficient designs using robust, sustainable solutions.
• Prepare compliant designs following UK standards and CoPs.
• Attend meetings with Clients, Designers, Contractors and Specialists.

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected, multi-disciplinary architectural practice with a strong national presence. With a network of over 200 professionals across 9 offices and a turnover exceeding £20 million, this employee-owned practice continues to grow through its commitment to design excellence, collaboration, and client-focused delivery. They are seeking a talented Architect to join their growing Birmingham team. The practice delivers award-winning projects across a wide range of sectors including Education, Residential, Healthcare, Commercial, Transport and Leisure. Their current projects focus are for various Education projects (£1m - £40m) and large scale Healthcare projects (up to £400m). Experience within either sector would be beneficial but not essential. Our client are a Revit using Consultancy so experience with the software would be essential. They are also fairly receptive in their search, so Architects across various levels are encouraged to apply.

Architect Salary & Benefits

Architect Overview

• Take receipt of a brief and develop it into a design in line with the RIBA Plan of Work
• Achieve efficient and effective designs using robust and sustainable design solutions
• Prepare compliant designs by following UK Construction Law, British Standards and relevant CoPs
• Participate in Project Reviews and coordination workshops
• Assist in gathering and preparing information required to support statutory submissions, such as Planning, Building Regulations and Building Safety Gateways
• Negotiate with statutory bodies, write reports and complete statutory submissions (Planning Applications / Gateway submissions / Building Regulations etc)
• Attend meetings and workshops with Clients, Designers, Contractors and other Specialists

Architect Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of production packages
• Good knowledge of Revit
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations
• Live within a commutable distance of Central Birmingham (Birmingham New Street)
• ARB registered Architect
• Experience working on large scale projects (across any sector)
