Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking an Application Support Tech Lead in London to drive reliability, performance and continuous improvement of the platform stack. This hands‑on leadership role blends engineering depth with team leadership and operational ownership.

You will lead a team of platform engineers, set technical direction, and act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, engineering and external partners to ensure scalable platforms that support business operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in an Application Support role or similar role.
Knowledge of scripting or an object‑oriented programming language.
SQL and database experience.
Proficiency in configuration management, automation and orchestration tools.
Good knowledge of AWS Cloud and tools such as Terraform and Docker.
Knowledge of APIs and microservices is desirable.
Experience leading others and being the “go to”, senior, in a team.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of platform engineers and own operational ownership of the stack.
Drive reliability, performance and continuous improvement of the platform.
Interface with business stakeholders, engineering teams and external partners to define strategy and scale platforms.
