Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to lead antimicrobial stewardship across the Trust. Based at King’s Mill Hospital, the role focuses on safe, cost-effective antimicrobial prescribing, guideline development, and monitoring usage and expenditure.

You will influence clinical practice, drive change, and develop specialist expertise in antimicrobial stewardship while supporting patient safety and the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc, B.Pharm or MPharm in Pharmacy
• Essential: Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Essential: Diploma in clinical pharmacy gained through postgraduate study or equivalent experience
• Desirable: Specialist post-graduate qualification or evidence of specialist post-graduate studies, particularly in the field of antimicrobial drug therapy.
• Desirable: Qualified independent prescriber
• Desirable: Evidence of commitment to CPD
