Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Specialist Anatomical Pathology Technologist to lead the paediatric mortuary team at John Radcliffe Hospital. The post requires a BSc in biological/forensic science, RSPH Level 3/4 diplomas in Anatomical Pathology, and prior team management experience.

Qualifications

• BSc in biological or forensic science is required.
• RSPH Level 3 and 4 diplomas in anatomical pathology are required.
• Experience in leading a team and on-call working is preferred.
• Demonstrated competence for lone working and autonomy in duties.

Responsibilities

• Organise mortuary and post-mortem service efficiently and safely.
• Perform adult and paediatric post-mortems with appropriate skill.
• Work autonomously within professional and managerial boundaries.
• Deputise for Mortuary manager when needed.
• Lead and train junior staff within the team.
• Work across multiple mortuary sites as required and participate in on-call duties.
